- Fit the guide bar onto the mounting studs, ensuring the chain is properly seated in the guide bar groove and around the drive sprocket.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the retaining nut. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. There should be no more than 2-3mm of slack when pulled from the center of the guide bar.
- Once the tension is correct, fully tighten the guide bar retaining nut.

The Saker Mini Chainsaw requires manual chain lubrication. Before each use, apply a small amount of appropriate chain oil (not included) to the guide bar groove and chain to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear. Regularly check and reapply oil during extended use.
